Despite recent political problems Zimbabwe remains a safe and value for money tourist destination. In the immediate vicinity of the camp at Marula the following activities are available:

• Day trip to Bulawayo
• Game drives and night drives in the hunting area
• Day trip to Matopos Park with its spectacular scenary and World's view where Rhodes is buried

Besides Matopos National Park, Zimbabwe has numerous national parks with excellent game viewing. Amonst these national parks are Hwange, Mana Pools and Great Zimbawe.  Victoria Falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world, is definately worth a visit. There are numerous quality hotels in the town and many tourist activities including white-water rafting, bungee jumping, elephant back safaris, game viewing and fishing.

If you want to take it slow, relax a little, and maybe do a bit of fishing then Kariba is the place. This massive man made lake is surrounded by wildlife areas and has excellent game viewing. The best way to explore the lake is by means of a house boat.
